Final year applicants who would like to attend any summer programmes endorsed by HSUHK should remain as a HSUHK student within the summer programme duration and are requested to apply for graduation upon completion of summer programme. univie: summer school – International and European studies 2025

A 4-week programme held on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, one of Austria’s most attractive summer vacation areas. It offers students opportunities to study European Studies courses or the Austrian Arbitration Academy in the morning and German language courses in the afternoon.

Expenses: 
Programme Fee:
€2,512.7 (summer school fees of €2,590 + Austrian students’ union fee of €24.70)

Full board accommodation fee (include breakfast, lunch and dinner):
Single room: €2,128.70
Double room: €1,792.70

Students also pay for:

4. visa application fee (if applicable)

Eligibility:
Applicants have to be at least 18 years old and must have completed two years of studies at college or university level. 

Scholarship and Subsidy: 

  1. Scholarship offered by University of Vienna
    • A limited number of partial scholarships ranging from €1,000 to €3,000 are available for the European Studies section of the summer school on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. 
    • Eligibility: Scholarship students must attend and complete at least three European Studies courses.

  2. Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students (SSE)

University of Cambridge International Summer Programme 2025

University of Cambridge International Summer Programme allows students to choose courses from a wide range of subject areas. Courses are complemented by a series of daily plenary lectures showcasing the variety of subjects on offer at the University, as well as research, global current affairs and a range of other topics.

Duration:
Week 1: 13 – 19 Jul 2025
Week 2: 20 – 26 Jul 2025
Week 3: 27 Jul – 2 Aug 2025
Week 4: 3 – 9 Aug 2025
(Students can choose to attend for one, two, three or four weeks.)

Expenses: 
Combined tuition and accommodation fees:
Week 1: from £1,580 to £1,970
Week 2: from £3,145 to £3,970
Week 3: from £4,700 to £5,960
Week 4: from £6,265 to £7,960
(Combined tuition and accommodation fees vary depending on the type of dormitory. The accommodation options include bed, breakfast, evening meals and nights between consecutive weeks – unless otherwise stated.)

Students also pay for:

  5. evaluation fee (£75 per essay) and a graded transcript (administration fee: £30) if applicable

Students must be 18 or over before they submit an application.

Language requirements:

  • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5 or above, with no less than 6.0 in a maximum of one of the four components, or
  • TOEFL iBT or TOEFL Home Edition: Overall score of 92 (with no individual element below 22)

Subsidy: 
FASP recipients who choose the programme with duration not less than 14 days can apply for SSE offered by EDB. For details, please refer to SAO’s website, click HERE.
