What Participants Say...

University of Vienna Summer School – International and European Studies, Austria

HO Tsz Ming (BBA-SCM, Year 3)

The Vienna Summer School was a transformative experience, profoundly impacting my personal and academic growth. It deepened my knowledge of European culture and expanded my comfort zone beyond expectations. The study atmosphere fostered collaborative discussions, differing from Hong Kong education. Engaging in diverse activities on campus, from lectures to cultural events, enriched my experience and formed connections with peers. The program offered enlightening lessons on art, literature, history, and societal dynamics, shaping my academic and personal development. In my spare time, I found solace amidst the serene natural surroundings, cherishing experiences like swimming and hiking.  Grateful for this programme, I depart with renewed purpose and a deep love for learning and exploration.

University of British Columbia Vancouver Summer Program, Canada

CHEN Yuxuan (BBA-FB, Year 2)

I participated in UBC Summer Programme this summer vacation. Although I only lived in Vancouver for a short month, I have gained eternal and beautiful memories in this short period of time. In our classes, everyone actively expressed their opinions and conducted timely post class discussions to ensure that everyone’s ideas were implemented. I think this was a very worthwhile experience, not only increasing my knowledge, but also broadening my horizons, building friendship and happiness!

北京語言大學國家語委普通話測試取證與文化考察研修班, Mainland China

PUN Cheuk Yiu (BA-CCI, Year 3)

Mainland China

OR Hoi Tung (BSc-DSBI, Year 3)

Studying AI for 11 days at Shanghai Jiao Tong University campus was a life-changing event and a priceless opportunity to tour a renowned campus. There was a terrific study environment, and the students and professors were gracious in their responses. I gained a lot of understanding about AI from this course, and I also got better at Mandarin.

Chung-Ang University International Summer Program, South Korea

WONG Chun Hei (BSocSc-AS, Year 3)

I particularly enjoy the meals at the CAU canteen! For myself, I’ve always been fascinated by the school canteens that appear in Korean dramas, so I frequently eat in CAU canteens to compare the food differences between Korean university canteens and Hong Kong canteens. The canteen offers two food selections every day, with various culinary styles. The food pricing is considerably lower than in Hong Kong, thus many Korean students choose to dine there. Furthermore, the food in the canteen is not only ample but also wonderful, so I will be too full to walk every time I eat.

Inha University Summer School, South Korea

YEUNG Lok Ching (BSocSc-AS, Year 1)

In this summer, I traveled to Incheon in South Korea as an exchange student in Inha Summer School. During 3 weeks of exchange, I chose Intermediate Korean and Traditional Korean Dance as the electives. Other than lesson times, the host institution provided us with lots of optional activities, such as Bus Tour, cooking class, taekwondo class and K-pop dance classes. The teaching assistants and residence assistants were nice and passionate when helping us with problems and to adapt into the environment. During free time, I traveled to Seoul and Busan to enjoy a local Korean life. It was a fruitful 3 weeks of time in Korea. I could never forget this wonderful experience.
