Student Sharing 2023/24

What Participants Say...

Harvard Summer School, The US

TSANG Kai Hong (BBA-GBM, Year 4)

At Harvard Summer School, the enriching educational environment greatly contributed to my intellectual growth and personal connections. The engaging classes and camaraderie in my dorm fostered critical thinking and collaboration, all thanks to an instructor who imparted knowledge with skill and finesse.

UC Berkeley Summer Sessions, The US

LAU Wing Shan (BBA-MKT, Year 3)

At UC Berkeley, I enjoyed actively participating in every class. I was fully engaged in discussions, presentations, and performances. Professors encouraged us to share our thoughts and provided insightful feedback that deepened my understanding. My classmates were passionate contributors, and their diverse perspectives enriched the learning experience. The energy and enthusiasm in the classroom were inspiring, making me look forward to each session.

University of Cambridge International Summer Programme, UK

CHAN Yin Lam Rene (BBA-GBM, Year 2)

The study atmosphere in Cambridge is focused and engaging compared to Hong Kong. Students are genuinely interested in learning, rather than just going through the motions. One similarity worth noting is the class size; each class has no more than 25 students, creating a close-knit environment.

I learned the importance of independence and self-sustainability during my time in the UK, especially how to solve problems when facing challenges.

Seinan Summer Japanese Program 2024, Japan

CHAN Ching Lam (BSc-AC, Year 3)

I was grateful for this opportunity, which improved my language skills and helped me make friends from around the world. During that month, I had many chances to communicate with Japanese students and other participants. This experience greatly enhanced my speaking, listening, and writing skills in Japanese.

Sogang International Summer Program, South Korea

WONG Cheuk Ying (BA-CMCT, Year 2)

I appreciate the University for offering me the opportunity to attend the Sogang International Summer Program 2024. I have fond memories of my K-Pop culture course, where I served as a discussion leader, encouraging foreign students to participate and preparing reading materials. I also learned about various aspects of K-Pop culture and gained insights into Western opinions on Korean idols from American students and a Korean lecturer.

Chung-Ang University International Summer Program, South Korea

LIN Yongyi (BTB, Year 2)

During the summer programme of Chung-Ang University, I wore Hanboks, learned K-dance, carved seals, watched baseball games, and visited an amusement park. I noticed both differences and similarities between Chinese and Korean cultures. While learning Korean, I made many foreign friends, which brightened my introverted personality.
