Student Exchange Programme 2026/27 is now open with deadline on 30 Jan 2026 (Fri), noon.

Eligibility: 

Year 1 to Year 3* undergraduates  

*Year 3 students are recommended to apply for Sem 1, 2026/27 exchange so that you will be at HSUHK in the final semester to work on the fulfilment of the graduation requirement. Otherwise, you are required to submit a written request for exchange in Sem 2, 2026/27 with justifications and study plan to HSUHK Exchange (exchange@hsu.edu.hk) to be forwarded to individual School for approval and arrange a mandatory consultation session with Programme Director/Personal Tutor before nomination. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Min. CGPA 2.5 (some host institutions and programme-specific exchange programme may have a different requirement)
  • Language Proficiency
    1) English: IELTS result is waived by most partners.
    2) Putonghua: Students should have a basic command of Putonghua to study at institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan.

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Check available partner institutions and the English language requirements. Please click HERE.

Step 2: Approach a teacher to complete an online recommendation form (HERE) by the application deadline. 

Step 3: Register by completing the MS form (HERE) below submissions by the application deadline: 

    • Personal Statement in English (150 words on your reasons and expectation for studying at the preferred host institution) 
    • Proof of academic result (CGPA) in Sem 1, 2025/26
    • If applicable, a copy of TOEFL/IELTS/HKDSE test report for English language proficiency OR any supporting document on Chinese language proficiency
