Eligibility: 

Year 2 to Year 4 undergraduate students. (Newly admitted students in AY25-26 are NOT eligible to apply as they have not studied long enough at HSUHK to be considered by partners to go on exchange in spring 2026.)

Requirements: 

• Min. CGPA 2.5 (some host institutions and programme-specific exchange programme may have a different requirement) 
• Language Proficiency 
  1) English: IELTS result is waived by most partners; for English language requirements by partners, please click (HERE). 
  2) Putonghua: Students should have a basic command of Putonghua to study at institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan
• Final year students are required to submit a written request with justifications and study plans to HSUHK Exchange (exchange@hsu.edu.hk) to be forwarded to individual School for approval and arrange a mandatory consultation session with Programme Director before nomination.

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Check the available partner institutions and the English language requirements (HERE). Partners’ info is available on the menu bar at the top left corner of this webpage.

Step 2: Approach a teacher to complete an online recommendation form (HERE) by the application deadline.

Step 3: Apply by completing the form (HERE) and upload all the required documents, including:

• Personal Statement in English (150 words on your reasons and expectation for studying at the preferred host institution);
• A copy of your HSUHK eCampus print-out showing your latest CGPA;
• A copy of your IELTS/TOEFL/HKDSE test report OR a copy of the test report as proof of your Putonghua proficiency (whichever applicable).
