Final round application of Student Exchange Programme 2026/27 is now open with deadline on 24 April 2026 (Fri).

Eligibility: 

Year 1 to Year 3* undergraduates  

*For students apply for exchange in Sem 2, 2026/27, you are required to submit a written request with justifications and study plan to HSUHK Exchange (exchange@hsu.edu.hk) to be forwarded to individual School for approval and arrange a mandatory consultation session with Programme Director/Personal Tutor before nomination. 

 

Requirements:  

  • Min. CGPA 2.5 (some host institutions and programme-specific exchange programme may have a different requirement)
  • Language Proficiency 
    English: IELTS result is waived by most partners
    Putonghua: Students should have a basic command of Putonghua to study at institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan 

Application Procedure: 

Step 1: Check available partner institutions and the English language requirements. Please click HERE. 

Step 2: Approach a teacher to complete an online recommendation form (HERE) by the application deadline. 

Step 3: Register by completing the MS form (HERE) with below submissions by the application deadline: 

  • Personal Statement in English (150 words on your reasons and expectation for studying at the preferred host institution) 
  • Proof of academic result (CGPA) in Sem 1, 2025/26 
  • If applicable, a copy of TOEFL/IELTS/HKDSE test report for English language proficiency OR any supporting document on Chinese language proficiency 

We also welcome you to attend one of the briefing sessions for the Student Exchange Programme 2026/27:  

  • 16 Apr 2026 (Thurs), 15:00-16:00 @M908 OR  
  • 21 Apr 2026 (Tue) 11:00-12:00 @M908 (For Year 3 and Senior-Year Entrants)

Remarks: Sessions will primarily be conducted in Cantonese. Non-Cantonese-speaking students please email us at exchange@hsu.edu.hk to request a special session.
