HSUHK warmly welcomed inbound exchange students during the Orientation Day organised by the Global Affairs Office on 26 August 2026. The event featured a welcome session and a campus tour designed to familiarise students with key facilities and services across the University. Students also had the opportunity to connect with the campus community by meeting their Residential College Masters, tutors, and fellow peers.

Following the Orientation Day, GAO took the students on a tour to Sham Shui Po on 28 August 2026. Students hiked up Mission Hill, a popular hiking spot rich in local history, and explored the century-old underground Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir — a beautiful building in Romanesque style that has been designated as a Grade I historic building. The tour also included a dim sum meal at a traditional teahouse, where students savored classic dishes. The day ended with a visit to Mei Ho House, a revamped 1950s public housing block turned heritage museum, allowing students to step back in time and see how Hong Kong families lived decades ago.

This semester, HSUHK is delighted to receive 74 students from Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Chinese Mainland, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. We wish all the students a fabulous experience both on campus and in Hong Kong.
