


In alignment with the University’s strategic focus on fostering partnerships and platforms in Southeast Asia, the Global Affairs Office (GAO) undertook a productive visit to Thailand from 12 to 17 November 2025. The trip aimed to strengthen collaborations with partners and enhance the University’s presence in the region.
On 12 November, the team visited Chiang Mai University, a newly established partner, and was warmly welcomed by Dr Tanyapon Phongphio, Assistant Dean (Global Mission), and Dr Chawadon Ketkaew, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs). The visit concluded with a guided campus tour, offering the team a chance to appreciate the vibrant learning environment of its scenic lakeside location.
On 14 November, GAO visited Kasetsart University, a valued partner since 2018, to strengthen the long-standing relationship and to exchange ideas on collaboration. During the visit, the team met with Prof Matthew P. Downs, Consultant for International Relations of Economics Center for International Affairs, and Ms Wanida Kammani, Foreign Relations Officer and Exchange Program Coordinator to share insights on the trends and challenges in student exchange programmes. The visit also included a tour of the university’s student accommodation and learning support facilities, providing a deeper understanding of the resources available to exchange students.
From 15 to 16 November, GAO represented the University at the 20th OCSC International Education Expo, Thailand’s largest education fair, which attracted over 12,000 participants. GAO took the opportunity to introduce the University’s programmes and introduce our scholarship offer to ASEAN applicants.
