Led by Mr James Tsien, Vice-Chairman of the Council, Mr Dannie Cheung, Member of the Council, Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), Professor YV Hui, Acting Vice-President (Organisational Development), and Ms Antonia Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Development and Campus Services), an HSUHK delegation visited the Galaxy East Bay and the COCO Park integrated commercial cluster, and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Bonded Port Area on 27 August 2024.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr Lin Worong, Senior Director of Investment Promotion of Galaxy Industry Limited, who provided an overview of the thriving developments at the Galaxy East Bay and the COCO Park integrated commercial cluster. During the meeting with the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Guangzhou Nansha, the delegation learnt about talent introduction policies and initiatives in Nansha. Discussions highlighted potential collaborations between HSUHK and the Nansha district.
