



Led by Dr Colin Lam, Founder of the Chi Wah Foundation (Chi Wah), a delegation from Chi Wah, along with teacher and student representatives from six high schools in Mainland China funded by the foundation, visited HSUHK on 26 July 2025, and was received by Professor Joshua Mok, Acting President; Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience); Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development), Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, Dr Ken Yau, Head of Global Affairs, and Ms Maggie Ng, Senior Manager of the Registry.
During the meeting, Professor Mok highlighted the recent developments and academic achievements of HSUHK, while Professor Fu provided an overview of the University’s support for Mainland students. Following Ms Ng’s presentation on undergraduate admissions for non-local students, Mr Arti Liu (BA in Chinese, Year 3) and Miss Helen Zeng (BBA in Marketing, Year 2), students from the Honours Academy, shared their campus life and learning experience at HSUHK. The visit concluded with a tour of the teaching facilities at HSUHK.
In light of the Education Bureau’s progressive easing of the admission quota for Mainland students, the meeting opened a dialogue on facilitating Mainland students’ pursuit of further studies in Hong Kong.
