Visit by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland

Ms Katri Salmi, Head of International Relations of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Haaga-Helia), Finland visited the University on 27 February 2026, following her attendance in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2026 Conference and Exhibition.

During the visit, Ms Salmi met with representatives from the Global Affairs Office to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions. She was introduced to the integration activities for exchange students, designed to help them immerse themselves in the HSUHK community. The visit concluded with a campus tour, includding stopping at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Residential Colleges, a unique living and learning community that blends education with residential life, and the Lee Shau Kee Complex, which features wellness and sports facilities. The tour also included The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong – Foundation Gallery of the Creative Humanities Hub, which promotes art, culture, and humanistic education.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest universities in Finland with campuses in Helsinki, Porvoo, and Vierumäki, and is known for its practical education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and strong industry connections. Haaga-Helia has been a partner of HSUHK since 2013.
