



Led by Mr Wang Xidong, Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, a delegation visited HSUHK on 21 October 2025, and co-hosted a seminar with representatives from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), and Lingnan University (Lingnan). The visitors were warmly received by Professor Joshua Mok, Acting President; Dr Fanny Chan, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing, and Dr Ken Yau, Head of Global Affairs.
Initiated by Mr Ellis Wong, Chief Executive Officer at Kiu Fung Hong Ltd and a member of the Programme Advisory Committee, BBA-General Business of HSUHK, the meeting featured insightful exchanges with the Changchun delegation, as well as with Professor Li Chen, Associate Professor and Associate Director at the Centre for China Studies, CUHK; Dr Clara Kan, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems, HKBU, and Professor Kang Dianyao, Assistant Professor of Teaching and Programme Director of Master of Science in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lingnan.
During the meeting, Professor Mok opened by highlighting the University’s latest developments, placing particular emphasis on its recent collaborations with mainland universities—an essential element in cementing Hong Kong’s position as an international and China education hub. Meanwhile, Mr Wang delivered an overview of the tertiary education and research landscape in Changchun, outlining the city’s development strategy to integrate education, science and technology, human resources, finance, and industry. Additionally, three representatives from local universities presented updates on their respective institutions and discussed opportunities to broaden collaboration and exchange with Changchun.
