In view of the COVID-19 pandemic development in this year, there have been different levels of governmental and immigration measures in different regions. Putting the safety and health of students as our top priority, the University does NOT recommend any of our students taking any overseas activities in the coming summer, thus will CANCEL all the OVERSEAS programmes organised by any departments of the University for the Summer 2021. For any overseas activities organised by external parties in the said period, they will also not be endorsed by the University, which implies that participants are NOT eligible for university insurance and financial support. Notwithstanding, endorsed virtual overseas activities will remain eligible for university financial support.

For mainland activities, the University remains open for the opportunities with the consideration of the potential of pandemic stability, relaxation of immigration measures upcoming, etc. However, the University will stay vigilant about the pandemic situation in the mainland and carry out respective measures.

If students are eager to continue any outbound activities, you are advised to consider the risk involved, uncertainties ahead and potential cost incurred which you need to fully bear (including but not limited to accommodation for quarantine, insurance, test report, vaccine injection, cancellation or postponement of the activities, etc.). You are also suggested to put your own safety first, and consult your family to make a well-considered decision.
