Head of Global Affairs | Dr Ken Yau 

Dr Ken Yau obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Upon returning from the United Kingdom, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science.

With nearly twenty years of experience in the realm of higher education, Dr Yau has taught a variety of courses, concentrating on international relations and China studies for both undergraduate and master’s level students at various institutions. Beyond his teaching responsibilities, he has played a vital role in forging global collaborations with esteemed universities and community partner organisations across the Greater China region and internationally, creating inspiring experiential learning opportunities and managing double-degree programmes for students.

Since 2023, Dr Yau has served as Head of Global Affairs leading the newly established Global Affairs Office at HSUHK, where he is decisive in developing strategic global partnerships and advancing the university’s efforts in globalisation. In recognition of his professional achievements in teaching and learning support, he has been awarded the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) by Advance HE in the United Kingdom.
