A delegation from the Guangzhou Xinhua University (Xinhua University), led by Mr Liu Ronghai, Chairman of its Board, visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 25 June 2025, and was received by Professor Simon Ho, President; Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research); Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience); and Dr Ken Yau, Head of Global Affairs.

Initiated by Mr Martin Tam, Member, Board of Governors of HSUHK, the meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to present an overview of their institutions, and explore potential areas of collaboration that leverage the pairing of disciplines across the six schools of HSUHK and diverse programmes offered by Xinhua University, to enhance educational opportunities and fostering youth innovation.

With the geographical proximity and cultural ties between Hong Kong and Guangzhou, HSUHK and Xinhua University are eager to pursue a variety of joint initiatives to establish a dynamic platform for academic exchange.
