It was challenging to get to know the local students because many of them were a bit shy but as time passed, I got to know many of them. The most valuable thing I got from the whole experience was a deeper understanding of cultural differences between Finland and other countries.
My exchange experience had allowed me to discover who I am. Besides, I have become more independent and better at problem solving as there were a lot of issues that I had to face alone without others help. Overall, my exchange experience has contributed a lot to my personal growth.
2023 Global Café was organized on 13 April 2023 for local students to mingle with exchange students by sharing authentic food from different countries. On 8 March 2023, exchange students and their buddies gathered at the Chinese Tea Appreciation Workshop to learn about different types of Chinese tea, tea utensils, and brewing techniques. Exchange students also had hands-on opportunities to brew the tea themselves. They spent a relaxing time together and appreciated the art of Chinese tea drinking.
