On 22 October 2026, the Global Affairs Office held its annual Global Study Fair. Exchange students from Chinese Mainland, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, and South Korea hosted engaging booths that showcased their home institutions and cultures through interactive games, quizzes, handicrafts, and local dishes.
The fair aimed to promote the HSUHK Student Exchange 2027/28 and provide students with information about short-term study abroad opportunities. Participants enjoyed exploring the booths and were invited to vote for their favourite one. The Norwegian students’ booth won the award for being creative and fun. The event also served as a great platform for students to connect and broaden their cultural horizons.
Tynael Raguet from France reflected on hosting the French booth: “Hosting the French booth was a fantastic and fulfilling experience. Visitors enjoyed discovering French traditions through our pétanque game, the ‘Cheese or Village’ quiz, and traditional French snacks, which sparked many engaging conversations. It was a pleasure to see so many students participate enthusiastically and leave with a smile!”
At the same time, Ye Shuyu, an exchange student from Chinese Mainland, shared her experience: “Thank you for organising the Global Study Fair. It was a rewarding opportunity to introduce Sichuan culture and share our stories with visitors at our booth. I really enjoyed interacting with students from diverse backgrounds and learned a lot from this activity.”
Following the fair, a briefing session on the Student Exchange 2027/28 was held in late October to provide further details and application procedure for interested students.
