HSUHK warmly welcomed inbound exchange students at the Orientation Day organised by the Global Affairs Office (GAO) on 7 January 2026. During the Orientation, students participated in a welcome session and a campus tour designed to familiarise them with key facilities and services across the University. In addition, the event provided opportunities for the students to connect with the campus community, meeting their Residential College Masters, academic staff, and fellow peers.

Following the Orientation Day, GAO organised a cultural tour on 9 January 2026. The tour highlighted traditional fishing operations on Ap Lei Chau, a small island on the south side of Hong Kong. Participants had the opportunity to step into a traditional fishing boat and experience traditional fishing practices firsthand.

This semester, HSUHK welcomes 48 exchange students from 15 countries, including China, Malaysia, Indonesia in Asia;  Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom in Europe.
