The two-month summer internship programme of HSUHK officially kicked off in Nansha on June 20, 2025. Students began with an orientation at the HSUHK (Nansha) Centre, and had an overview of the Centre’s daily operations and key functions that include advancing academic networks, fostering industry-academia integration, and supporting cross-border development for students and faculty of HSUHK.

Students then toured the Innovation Bay, a youth innovation and entrepreneurship hub at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, where they explored the TIMETABLE Innovation Base, Xinhua Hong Kong-Macao International Youth Hub (Nansha), and the Innovation Bay International Youth Community. Through introductions to policies supporting youth development in Nansha and dialogues with established entrepreneurs from the Innovation Bay, students gained a deeper understanding of the thriving innovation ecosystem in the region.

In alignment with the University’s strategic plan to encourage industry-academia collaboration, the internship programme matches students with placements in diverse fields, based on their disciplines and career aspirations.
