On 16 January 2025, Global Affairs Office received Mr Jason Kim, Manager and Ms Jiwon Lee from Office of International Affairs of Sogang University, South Korea. During the visit, Sogang University had an opportunity to meet with Dr Victor Chan from Department of Social Science to discuss possible collaboration on faculty-led exchange activities. The delegation also delivered a briefing session on its International Summer Program. Through this program, students can broaden their academic experience as well as explore Korean culture.

Sogang University is one of the top private universities in South Korea founded in 1960 by the Society of Jesus to provide an education based on Catholic belief. The University aims to nurture talents who will devote their lives to the development of a humanistic culture and community. Sogang University has been a partner of HSUHK since 2024.
